Before you start you must have two things..
1) You need your own blog on blogger(on google)
if you dont have go to bloggger.com and create one which is easy anf free
2) You Need blogger Template File (which is in "templatename.xml" format)
search on google to find cool exiting free templates according your blog needs (if It in compressed format i.e .zip or .rar extract it to a folder)
